Favela Digital was one of the books used in the class "Anthropology of Technology" taught by Dr. Christina Holmes at St. Francis Xavier University. Dr. Holmes guided the students through the process of developing a research question and design, submitting a Research Ethics Board application, completing the research and writing up the results.

The photos from the book Favela Digital are now being exhibited at TU Kaiserslautern – building 36 – foyer. The author David Nemer will talk about his fieldwork in the Favela on December 4th, 5pm at IntClub – Building 12. This is the forth and last stop in Europe. Next stop: Cape Town, South Africa

David Nemer will display the third photo exhibition in Europe at Royal Holloway, University of London, from November 18th to 21st. The book talk will happen on Monday, Nov 18, 1-2pm in Windsor Building, Room 0-003.

David Nemer will display the second photo exhibition in Europe at Humboldt University of Berlin, from November 12th to 16th. The book talk will happen on Thursday November 14th 12:00, at Dorotheenstraße 26 room #118.
